2nd Annual Bully Blitz 5K & Dog Walk

We are excited to announce our 2nd Bully Blitz 5K and 1 Mile Dog Walk! Whether you are a seasoned runner or just looking to take a stroll with your pup while supporting a great cause, we hope you will join us.

Saturday, May 18th, 2018

  • Day of registration: 7:30am – 8:45am
  • 5K Race start time: 9:15am
  • Dog walk starts promptly at 9:00am

Shank Park, 850 Bullfrog Valley Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036


  • For runners
    • $25 prior to May 4th (includes t-shirt and bandanna)
    • $30 after May 4th and the day of the event (includes t-shirt and bandanna while supplies last)
  • For 1 Mile Dog Walk
    • $20 (includes t-shirt and bandanna for registration before May 4th)

Dogs are welcome to participate in both events! All dogs must be up to date on vaccines, friendly with people and other dogs, and safe for regular exercise. One dog per participant. NO retractable leashes allowed.

Bark for Life

The American Cancer Society Bark For LifeTM is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.

By supporting Bark For Life, you help the American Cancer Society save lives, and that helps us move closer to our ultimate goal of a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

So bring your best canine friend and join us for a fun-filled day starting with a walk, and then continuing with demonstrations, contests, and games.


Susquehanna Service Dogs brings you PawsAbilities, a one-day canine festival with games and activities for you, your family, and your dog!

Activities include:
Dog Olympics
Lure Course
Tips and Techniques for Potty Training Your Dog
Paw Draw (a game of chance)
Dog Wash

There will also be vendors selling things for both you and your dog!

Tickets cost $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets for children ages 5-10 at $4 in advance, $5 at the door. Dogs are free!

HBG St. Patrick’s Day Parade

March 2019 will mark the third year the Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District has organized the Harrisburg St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

The parade will feature an assortment of excitement, such as Irish dance groups, pipe and drum bands, festive floats, marching bands, and PLP!

We hope you’re feeling lucky — get ready to shamrock n’ roll!

Darrenkamps Meal on the Porch

Please join us for a Dinner on the Porch, hosted by the always generous Darrenkamp’s Market at 191 Ridgeview Road South, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.

Meals can be purchased between 4pm-6pm and include the following your choice of fish or oyster, chips and a drink. The cost is just $4.00/per meal and all proceeds benefit the dogs of Pitties.Love.Peace.

3rd Annual Chicken BBQ

Please join us for the PLP 3rd Annual Chicken BBQ and adoption event on Sunday, August 26th, at the Linglestown Fire Company – Woohoo!

We will have a limited number of chicken BBQ dinners the day of the event so we strongly encourage you to pre-order! You can do so by purchasing a ticket via PayPal using the link below, which can also be found on our website and Facebook page. When pre-ordering, please note that the donation is for the chicken BBQ, as well as how many meals you are purchasing. Once the meals are paid for, your receipt will be your ticket! All pre-purchased meals must be picked up by 1:00pm the day of the BBQ. We will also have soup – chicken corn soup and a limited supply of ham and bean.

This fun day will include:

• $9/per BBQ dinner includes half chicken, baked potato, roll, applesauce, and a beverage

• Chicken corn soup and ham & bean – available by the quart and by the gallon
• Meet some of our awesome adoptable dogs!

• We will have whoopie pies for sale!

• Lots of great raffle items – winners will be drawn at 2:00pm
